1. How to Put Your Underwired Swim Top On Correctly
Just like lingerie, swimwear fits best when everything is
sitting exactly where it should.
- Slip your top on and gently scoop your bust into the cups using the opposite hand.
- Lean forward slightly to help your bust settle naturally.
- Make sure your nipple sits centered in the cup for the most flattering shape.
- Smooth the fabric so your bust is fully supported and lifted.
This ensures you’re getting the support the design was
engineered to give.
2. Check the Underband
Your underband should feel firm, secure and comfortable, never loose.
- It should sit flat against your ribcage.
- Run two fingers underneath; there should be a little give, but not much.
- If it rides up, you likely need a smaller band size.
A supportive underband is the foundation of a great swim fit.
3. Check the Cups
Your bust should be fully encased in the cups with a smooth, rounded shape.
- Bulging or cutting in means the cup is too small.
- Gaping or extra space means the cup is too big.
- If fabric gathers at the bottom, you may need to re‑scoop or size down.
Even in plunge or balconette styles, the fit should feel supportive, not restrictive.
4. Check the Wires (for wired styles)
Our wired bikini tops are shaped to follow your natural curve.
- The wire should sit flat against your chest in the centre.
- If it’s sitting on your breast tissue, you likely need a larger cup.
- Different wired shapes suit different busts. Explore what feels best for you, we do mix & match for a reason.
5. Check the Straps
Straps should support, not dig in.
- Most support comes from the band and cups, not the straps.
- Adjust them until they feel balanced and comfortable.
- Your bust should feel lifted without pressure on your shoulders.
6. Quick Fit Tips
- Try your swim top on dry — fabric relaxes slightly when wet.
- Adjust straps and ties after you’ve scooped your bust into place.
- Don’t size up for coverage; choose your true size for the best support.
- Sometimes the fit is close but not quite right. That’s where sister sizing helps. If you’re a 34E, try 32F for a firmer band or 36DD for a softer one.
